Assembly Production Associate

The Assembly Production Associate will be responsible for producing quality products on the manufacturing line for our innovative lifesaving patented technology. They are part of a skilled team that works together to ensure daily targets are met to fulfill the company’s growing order book. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, a “can-do” attitude, and works well in a team environment.

Electronics Assembler

The Electronics Assembler will be responsible for electronics assembly of quality products on the manufacturing line for our innovative lifesaving patented technology. They are part of a skilled team that works together to ensure daily targets are met to fulfill the company’s growing order book. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, a “can-do” attitude, and works well in a team environment.

Embedded Software Developer

The Embedded Software Developer is part of a core team that will be assisting in solidifying and expanding our capabilities in the electrification space. In the past 18 months, the team has developed and launched an Electric Vehicle Communication Controller (EVCC) with a local lead customer.  Work in a space where the sky is the limit for you to flex your development capabilities, where you will be challenged to think outside the box. You will be supporting the current customer platform and developing complementary products to the EVCC.  SMG seeks experienced, out-of-the-box developers in ARM based systems running Linux and FreeRTOS.

Inside Sales Representative

Making an impact on children’s lives with every sale, the Inside Sales Representative is a hunter that is a motivated and talented individual that thrives on closing business. You must be a people person, have a ‘go-getter’ mentality, and have the ability to interact with various departments and types of customers at multiple levels. You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and booking sales calls for the Regional Account Executive. The Inside Sales Representative is professional and has excellent customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills. The successful individual will be growing the assigned territory with the Regional Account Executive.

Inside Sales Supervisor

The Inside Sales Supervisor for First Light Safety Products is responsible for leading and supervising a team of inside sales representatives to achieve sales targets, improve customer satisfaction, and drive the team’s overall performance. This role involves strategic planning, sales coaching, performance tracking, and collaboration with other departments to ensure the sales team has the tools and support needed to succeed.

Material Handler

Highly organized and detail-oriented, the Material Handler plays an integral role in ensuring material is available for the manufacturing team.  You are comfortable with computers and have good reporting capabilities.  Continuously looking to improve efficiency and reduce stock shortages, you can spot potential shortages. This individual has a “can-do” and “do-what-you-need-to-do” type attitude.

Mechanical Design Engineer

Putting your creativity and talent into high gear, the methodical Mechanical Design Engineer is part of a team of skilled engineers making the unthinkable come to reality.  You will be engaged in research, analysis, conceptual and detailed design, and development of various parts, components, and assemblies for our diverse customer base using traditional tools and new technologies to assist throughout the product development life cycle.  The successful candidate is detail oriented and will be working on innovative designs for SMG’s growth markets.

Order Fulfillment Coordinator

Highly motivated, ambitious, organized, and analytical – we are looking for an Order Fulfillment Coordinator who exhibits these qualities to provide exceptional customer service to our growing list of customers. In this important customer-facing role, you work with our customers to ensure we meet their dynamic needs.  The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills along with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Project Engineer

The Project Engineer is a core part of our New Production Introduction (NPI) team that will help support the rapid growth of the organization through completing technical reviews for new projects.  This individual is a methodical, detailed oriented professional that will be responsible for providing technical expertise to various stakeholders.  With a mechanical background, they are the liaison between several external and internal customers. The successful candidate will be engaged in the analysis of customers’ requirements and communicating these requirements to suppliers.

You must be an extrovert, have a ‘go-getter’ mentality, and be skilled at interacting with people.  A usual top performer, you’re highly self-motivated, and often exceed sales targets.  The Regional Account Executive will work from First Light’s head office in Winnipeg, Canada. The territory of the position includes several states within the USA they are Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
